100 OS Trig Pillars
A Christmas Day walk in Swinley Forest, Bracknell was the event of my 100th bagged OS Trig Pillar. There was a bit of a debate, mostly with myself, about which Trig would count as my 100th. I’ve only logged pillars that I could either touch or get within a few metres of, not ones that I could only see from a distance. Of those some were listed as “remains” and have been replaced by new monuments. So, my 100th was:
TP5451 - Pink Hill if you count all my logged Trig Pillars
TP6698 - Wain Hill if you don’t count Dunkery which is listed as “destroyed”
TP5536 - Pudding Hill if you don’t count Brown Clee Hill or Monument Hill which are listed as “remains” and have been replaced by other stone monuments which include parts of the old pillars. Crug Yr Afan is also listed as “remains” but its still recognisable as a Pillar, albeit in many pieces, so I’m definitely including it.
